Hence Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ has narrated that the Prophet of Rahmah, the Intercessor of Ummah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, ‘Sadaqah [charity] does not decrease wealth and Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ increases the status of the one who forgives others. Whoever adopts humility for the pleasure of Allah is granted elevation by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.’ (Sahih Muslim, pp. 1397, Hadis 2588)
